Tepenkök (Version III)
– In ancient times, there was a poor man who had a single blue stallion. It was gentle, yet swift. The poor man would go hunting with it to make a living. While hunting, he would chase and catch wolves and foxes with the stallion. One unique trait of the stallion was that it could not run unless it was sweating. As the saying goes, "The secret of the horse is known to its owner," before going hunting, he would carry two bags of sand on either side of the saddle, trotting back and forth to make the blue stallion sweat.
One day, there was a grand celebration in the village, and singers, musicians, poets, wrestlers, and wealthy nobles came from all over with their swift racehorses. The festivities began, games were played, and it was time for the horse race. There were many racehorses prepared for the competition. All were contenders for the first prize. The owner of the blue stallion decided to enter it into the race, so he carried sand on its saddle and trotted around to make the stallion sweat until the horse driver arrived.
Before long, the horse race began. The blue stallion came in first. After winning the race, the owner of the stallion, pleased with his horse, recalled how he had trotted it before the race and played a tune called "Tepeñkök."
