Yellow Belt (Version II)
The wealthy, criticized for their corruption by the sharp tongue of the flute player, who mocked them with his music, were united in their efforts to blind him. They pressured him from all sides, insulted him, and pricked him with thorns. As he roamed the land playing the flute and telling jokes, they obstructed his cheerful life in his small black yurt, near his children, by placing a watcher to track his every move. Dreaming of escaping this suffocating life, the flute player set out in search of a land where the dawn breaks brightly, the sun sets with a smile, and where people are not divided into rich and poor, free from oppression. He traveled through many lands in search of the seat of justice, traversed many roads, and climbed many hills. However, unable to find such a land, the flute player, with his dreams shattered, returned exhausted to his black yurt. Wherever he went, he saw the weeping people, the impoverished suffering in a confined life. After a long journey yearning for freedom, the flute player was heading back to his homeland when he came to a gentle hill and, while playing his flute, passed away. Another flute player, traveling through the land, stumbled upon the deceased young man who had used his flute as a support on the gentle hill. The young man dismounted and buried the deceased right there. From his appearance, he saw the signs of sorrow and lamentation from having been unable to achieve his dreams. As he pondered over the tragic event he encountered on the road, the flute player looked around. An endless, boundless steppe. The turmoil of life and the song of a vibrant existence were nowhere to be seen. Only the haze on both sides appeared, engulfing countless young souls like this one in its suffocating embrace, making the surroundings look yellowish and heavy. In this state, it felt like a place that had not seen rain, nor sunshine, knowing nothing but sorrow. Grieving for this mysterious existence, the flute player sat on the yellow hill and played the "Yellow Hill" tune in memory of the deceased flute player.
