Just a game
The spread of the "Kur Oynak" melody is told in two different stories by the elders. Which one is true, and which one is false, remains unknown. However, both stories are about a playful bird called "kur."
The first story: The kur bird is fond of games. When it gathers in groups and gets caught up in the excitement of the game, it seems to lose track of the dawn and dusk. The musician, astonished by the kur's passion for play, composed the melody "Kur Oynak."
The second story: A rich man's son, intrigued by the kur's games that continue until evening, sets a trap in the place where the kur plays to watch it at home. Thus, he catches the kur one by one and brings them home. However, none of them adapt to captivity and die. Only one white kur remains uncaught. The boy also catches it and brings it home. It quickly adapts to captivity. After eating its food, it continues to play in the place where it is tied. The musician from the village, amazed by this, named his melody "Kur Oynak."
