Double intestine
Once upon a time, there was a young hunter, as told in the legend of the "Two Strings" melody. This young hunter made a living by hunting deer in the high mountain cliffs and dense pine forests. One day, he was fortunate enough to shoot a spotted deer from a steep cliff of the high mountain, and to bring the deer down, he removed its entrails. Months later, the young hunter thought it would be a good spot for hunting and returned to the place where he had shot the spotted deer. He heard a buzzing sound in his ear. Upon closer inspection, he noticed that the entrails of the deer he had shot earlier must have been caught by a crow or a raven and were now stretched out on a branch of a pine tree. He realized that the buzzing sound was coming from those entrails. When the gentle breeze swayed the dried entrails hanging from the branches, they produced a pleasant sound. Sometimes it howled, sometimes it flowed like a stream, and at other times it seemed to weep, putting the young hunter in various moods. At that moment, the young hunter thought, "It seems like these two strings are about to speak; I should do something." He took the entrails home, made an instrument, and attached the two strings to it. When he played it, indeed, it seemed as if the two strings had come to life and began to resonate beautifully. This sound not only delighted the young hunter but also captivated everyone who listened. Thus, the dombra became a beloved instrument for many.
