Wounded White Gazelle
A marksman who never misses his target goes out hunting. Whatever he encounters, he brings it back, and this time he sets out with the intention of bringing back a white gazelle. Along the way, he does not shoot at any other animals and spends several days searching solely for the white gazelle. The skin of the white gazelle is said to be a treasure that cannot be found by traders, a wealth that fills the pockets. After several days of searching, the young man comes across a herd of white gazelles grazing on the roadside. Thinking to himself that he has succeeded, he sneaks up and takes aim at one of the gazelles, saying, "This is where you will die." The gazelles startle and flee over the ridge. The wounded white gazelle, which the marksman believes he has shot, limps after the herd and escapes over the hill. Even though the young man chases after it, he cannot catch up, and the injured white gazelle escapes death. The musician, thinking that the marksman's shot missed due to the gazelle's spirit, has composed this melody inspired by the limping gait of the wounded gazelle.
