Seven names
There was a man named Del-dal, who was both poor and a flute player. Del-dal had seven swift horses, one faster than the other. One day, the seven horses fell into the hands of thieves, and the thieves took away the seven racers. Del-dal, who set out to search for his horses, traveled throughout the entire land but could not find them, and he was distressed, not knowing from which direction the thieves had come. As he wandered, exhausted, Del-dal sat alone in the desolate steppe, took the reed flute he had tucked into his belt, and poured his sorrowful state into the flute. He continued to search for his horses, now playing his flute and letting the public hear his new melody as he searched. The ruler, astonished by Del-dal's actions as he wandered aimlessly, summoned him to learn the reason behind his behavior. Del-dal explained the whole situation. Moved by the flute player's miserable condition and grateful for his art, the ruler ordered people to be sent in all directions to find and bring back those who had stolen his horses. The searchers traveled around the land and found the thief who had stolen the seven horses, bringing him back along with the horses. The ruler returned the seven horses to Del-dal. The melody that Del-dal played while searching for his seven horses is called "My Seven Horses."
