Kokeykesti (Version II)
It must have been in the last years of Tattimbet's life. One day, the musician falls seriously ill. At that moment, he recalls the life he has lived and weighs the debts he owes to his people in his mind, sinking into sorrow. "I will leave without fulfilling the dreams that have been on my mind," he laments, tears welling up in his eyes. He thinks about the well-being of his close friends and companions. While he is deep in thought, a citizen of the village comes to lift his spirits. Tattimbet talks about how his melodies have spread widely among the people and how his heir students are increasing. However, Tattimbet internally grieves, thinking that his dreams have not yet been fulfilled. At this point, he feels the urge to play a melody and reaches for his dombra. Those sitting around hand him the brown dombra that was leaning against a load. Tattimbet elevates his pillow, rests the dombra against his chest, and lying back, plays a profound and contemplative melody. The mournful tune resonates deeply with those present. "We are hearing this melody for the first time; what kind of melody is it?" they ask. Tattimbet replies, "Let it be 'Kokeikesti'."
