Manata
One day, the musician arrives at Ustyurt and admires the cliffs that rise high above. He asks the caravan coming towards him about the secrets of the pass and engages in conversation for a while. Tightening the saddle of his gray horse and firmly holding the reins, he ascends to the peak of "Black Camel - Manata." He has long known that there are many fascinating legends about this peak among the people. Now, he sees the pass that sounds like a fairy tale with his own eyes and walks on it with his own feet. Looking up at "Black Camel - Manata," one feels as if their hat might fall off, and looking down makes one dizzy as he reaches the flat surface of the plateau. He loosens the saddle of his gray horse, lets it rest for a moment against the wind, and holds onto the reins while lost in thought. He recalls that even though they have safely reached the top of this peak or descended from it, they do not have the strength to perform the same ritual as the caravan that sacrifices an animal and offers a donation for their safe passage. Nevertheless, thinking that this is a place known among the people, he plays a tune on his dombra, echoing the heights of the pass, calling it "Manata." Some people also refer to this tune as "Manata Mountain." Thus, the pass leading to the plateau - "Black Camel - Manata" - has been filled for years with the scent of the meat from the sacrificed animals and the smoke from the hearth, while the magical waves of the tune created by Kurmangazy have also swept through those cliffs, chasing after the echoes.
