Brown striped
During the time of the Türgesh, there was a poor man named Zholdybai. Zholdybai had only one brown spotted horse, which was said to be a swift runner that would not look ahead when it galloped. It had won many prizes in horse racing competitions. The wealthy and the khans, who were envious, tried to seize this horse for themselves, and if that was not possible, they even attempted to destroy the brown horse. They asked Zholdybai to give up the brown horse. However, Zholdybai refused to comply. Finally, realizing that it was futile, the khan ordered his messengers:
- "Catch the brown horse and bring it here!" The messengers attempted to surround the brown horse, which was grazing. Sensing that these were strangers, the brown horse broke through one side of the encirclement and fled towards the village...
Feeling that they would not be able to catch it, the messengers shot and wounded the brown horse. The animal, in its agony, managed to reach home without falling into the hands of its pursuers. Seeing the pitiful state of his beloved horse, Zholdybai mourned deeply for the loss of his cherished companion. He cursed the khans who had plotted against him.
Witnessing Zholdybai's plight, the Türgesh lamented, "Oh, my dear brown horse, lost in such a way," and composed a tune called "Brown Horse."
