Жантай деген бір бай малшымен төбелесіп, сол төбелесте бір күрек тісі сынады.
Жалшы:
– Сенен шығамын, – деп ақысын сұрайды.
Бай:
– Тісімді сыңдырдың, соның төлеуі үшін алдым, – деп ақысын бермейді. Екеуі Қазыбек келеді.
Жантай тұрып:
– Мынау менің жалшым еді. Өзіммен төбелесіп бір күрек тісімді сындырды. Бұның құнын сұрасам, бермейді. Жалға жүрген ақымды бер деп жүр, – дейді.

– Мен жалға жүрдім Жантайға,

A woman's canine tooth is her beauty.
Jantai, a wealthy herder, got into a fight, and during that fight, one of his front teeth broke.
The laborer:
– I will leave you, – he demands his payment.
The wealthy man:
– You broke my tooth, I took it for that payment, – he refuses to pay. They both go to Kazibek.
Jantai stands up:
– This was my laborer. He fought with me and broke one of my front teeth. When I ask for compensation, he refuses. He keeps asking for my wages, – he says.
Then the laborer stands up:
– I worked for Jantai,
Hoping to get a colt for six months.
He did not provide enough for me,
I could not muster my strength,
That’s how the fight started,
And I ended up breaking my front tooth.
Isn’t the wealthy man wealthy?
He doesn’t pay me, drives me out of his house. O wise judge, I have come to seek your fairness, – he concludes. Kazibek then delivers the following judgment:
– “Food is the backbone of a person.” Since Jantai did not provide enough food, how could the laborer have strength? “A hungry person is quarrelsome,” you were the cause of the fight. Therefore, pay him his wages. Your front tooth is worthless; as long as a man has his strong jaw to eat meat, one broken front tooth is not a significant loss. But a woman’s front tooth is both her beauty and her tool for weaving, – he said.
