Emeuir (The Signaling with Abilay Khan)
Abilai (Abilmansur) took care of Tole Bi's camels when he was young. One day, he sees the Kazakh warriors donning their weapons and setting off, and he flies like a bird to Tole Bi.
– Brother, please include me among the warriors? – he says.
– The warriors will find their way without you; just take care of your camels, my boy! – replies Tole. The proud young warrior responds:
– Isn’t it said that “a real man is born at home and dies in the field,” uncle? If I’m strong enough, I might be able to shoot once; why don’t you test me? – he says defiantly.
Tole Bi expresses his approval for him to set off. Elated, Abilai quickly jumps onto the horse that is saddled and rides off after the warriors. As he rides, he turns back and sees Eskeldi, who is standing next to Tole Bi, taking off his hat and showing his belt. He holds his tongue. Abilai makes a gesture indicating “I understand” and gallops away.
As a result, the warriors led by Abilai return victorious from the battle. Upon inquiry, it turns out that it was Abilai who displayed exceptional bravery that day. He had understood and faithfully executed Eskeldi's signal before setting off for the campaign.
Eskeldi’s act of removing his hat signified that various difficulties would arise for you, and you should endure them. When taking the enemy's position, use your belt as a flag and charge forward with a battle cry. It was a hint to always be cautious with your words, no matter where you are.
After being seated on a white felt mat and being proclaimed khan, it is said that Abilai continued to heed Eskeldi's advice and counsel often, according to the people's memory.
