As a result of the chaotic actions, the Kazakhs, who had been in a daze for several years, gradually began to regain their senses and started to show fierce resistance to the enemy. The audacious invader believed that he had the power to rein in the enemy. The crushing defeat of the enemy by the large force led by Batyr Qabanbay at the Battle of Aңyraқai stunned the foe. The Kalmyks could no longer stand their ground on Kazakh land and fled for their lives. Even as they fled, seeking refuge in the foothills of the Alatau, they found no sanctuary. They came to rest at the Torayghyr mountain but were again crushed in the Kökpek steppe. They abandoned the Karakara and Kumtekey valleys and the Myzhylyk plain, crossed the Ilebasy, and disappeared into the west. The pursuers, Hankeldi and Batyr Nauryzbay, drove them over the Star Mountain of Tengrі and sent them crashing into the Turpan depression.
The country steps into a peaceful life. The hardened brows relax, and the tension in their shoulders eases. They let their livestock graze and enjoy the cool breeze of the lush summer pastures. During such a time of abundance, a grand horse race is organized to lift the spirits, and announcements are made in all directions. After all, the true stallions are not just companions of the heroes! The Kazakh heroes, who have crushed the spirits of the Kalmyks, groom their steeds and bring them to the great race.
Several hundred steeds entered the race and were driven to the starting point at noon. The large crowd gathered on the hilltop, chatting in groups. As the afternoon wore on, around the time of the second prayer, the silhouettes of the horses appeared in the distance. Especially, one horse broke away from the thick group, galloping ahead alone. The crowd stood up in excitement and stared intently. As the lone horse approached the finish line, they recognized it as the horse of Batyr Hankeldi. The young boy on the horse shouted, "Rayymbek! Rayymbek!" The crowd was astonished. It was a cry they had never heard before. Who was this?
It turned out that the grandson of Batyr Hankeldi, riding his racehorse, had called out his own name as a battle cry.
- "What is this child doing calling out his name? Is it ignorance?" the crowd murmured anxiously. Even the elder Almerik, who was supposed to give instructions to the racehorses, fell into thought. Looking at those who were surrounding Hankeldi with anger, the elder said:
- "No one should harm this boy; I will speak to him myself," and he silenced those who interpreted this behavior as a bad omen.
After the racehorses had finished and the commotion subsided, Almerik the elder affectionately sniffed the young Rayymbek's forehead. Then he asked:
- "My son, why did you call out your own name?" Rayymbek replied boldly:
- "When I grow up, I dream of becoming a hero and being a battle cry for my people, grandfather!"
The brave boy's apple-like cheeks flushed, and sparks danced in his eyes. Almerik the elder admired the cleverness of the dreamer.
- "My son, may your wish come true, may God support you! May your enemy tremble at the echo of your voice and be laid to rest! May your glory increase, and may the Creator be your ally! May light gather upon your head, and may the sun delight in your forehead!"
The people, who admired the brave boy, also supported Almerik Baba's blessing with open hands.
That Rayymbek, after growing up, became a valiant hero who did not yield to his enemies. His valor flourished like a lion. In many fierce battles, the hero, who made the enemy bleed, later became the battle cry of the entire Alaban people.
