There is a legend among the people: there was once a magnificent bird called the Böktergi. It would catch and eat every bird it saw, causing the bird population to dwindle. The birds gathered and complained to the Bird King. The Bird King, unable to find a solution for the Böktergi, gathered all the birds and cursed it. The curse fell upon the Böktergi, and it became a bird that would strike a hundred times a day, hanging one. Ashim composed the "Böktergi" melody based on this legend.
