Spotted saiga (Version II)
Once upon a time, there was a hunter who earned his livelihood from the wild. One day, while hunting, he came across a spotted deer. It was a young doe with a belly dragging on the ground, but isn't the hunter's eye always hungry for prey? He thought, "You have no fault, and I have no food," and he drew his bow. At that moment, the spotted deer spoke: – Hey, Gray Hunter, do not shoot me. I have twin kids that have not yet been weaned. My heart is aching, and my udder is swelling. Give me a chance to nurse my kids one last time, and after I take them to my side and quench my longing, I will return to you, – it said. The hunter fell into thought. If he didn't believe it, it was speaking like a human; if he did believe it, there was no guarantee. – I would let you go without shooting, but who will guarantee that you will return? – said the hunter. As soon as these words were spoken, the sky thundered, lightning flashed, and the Prophet Muhammad descended to the earth and said: – I will be the guarantor! – he declared. After this, the hunter released the deer. The Prophet Muhammad, who had come as a guarantor, stayed beside him, and now the hunter waited for the deer to return after nursing its kids. Some time passed. The wait began to feel burdensome. At that moment, the hunter, astonished, spoke to the Prophet Muhammad: – You have deprived me of my destined sustenance; the deer has been unfaithful! – he said. Then Muhammad replied: – Be patient, my hunter; no one in the eighteen thousand worlds has ever deceived me! – he said. As soon as Muhammad said these words, the dawn brightened, and the spotted deer arrived. It is said that upon hearing this story, the bard played a tune on his dombra.
