One year, when the people had settled and moved to the summer pastures, and the livestock had grazed on the gentle slopes of the Arka, the relatives of Daulet, led by Aupik and Naqip, came to Tussipbek's house as usual. The family of Tussipbek spread out cushions and prepared beds for their esteemed guests, waiting on them with great care. Tussipbek was a person who rarely played the kobyz. However, for the sake of his honored guests, he had the kobyz brought out and, as usual, had his brother Akynbay tune it, preparing it with care. As soon as Tussipbek took the kobyz in hand, the noise of the children around the house quieted down, and those inside settled into their places, maintaining silence. Only the eagle perched on the threshold called out with a "kiyak-kiyak," seemingly breaking the tranquility. Akynbay, fidgeting, remarked, "It's not a hand-reared bird; it was caught from the wild and refuses to be tamed, it's quite stubborn," showing a demeanor as if justifying himself in front of the guests. By the reed wall of the house, Tussipbek's daughter Shyryn, born of Shamsiya, was fascinated by the rattling pestle of the black mortar at the base of the reed. Shyryn, who had just grown enough to walk, was likely wearing a red dress. Then, as soon as Tussipbek took the kobyz in hand, the eagle on the threshold stirred, causing the strap tied around its perch to loosen. Feeling its foot free, the wild eagle struck the ground with its talons, tearing off its hood. Once the hood was removed, its eyes sparkled, scanning the inside of the house as if ready to devour everything, and then it fixed its gaze on Shyryn, who was standing still in her red dress at the base of the mortar. In an instant, the eagle leaped off the perch and waddled towards Shyryn, who was playing with the rattling pestle, turning its back. Those inside the house fell silent, stunned. The reason was clear; the behavior of a wild creature is known, and if it senses an unexpected movement, it might strike at the red figure before its eyes. Tussipbek, especially as a falconer, knew very well that if the eagle made a sudden move, it could injure the child. Knowing this well, Tussipbek found a solution to the predicament himself. While those inside the house were gasping, thinking, "What should we do now!" Tussipbek began to play his black kobyz. A sudden melody, as if it had come from the farthest reaches of the steppe, burst forth, rising and swirling. At that moment, the eagle, hovering over the child in the red dress, stretched its neck and paused, fixing its gaze on the open window towards the azure sky. Taking advantage of the eagle's distraction caused by the sound of the kobyz, Akynbay quickly stood up and lifted the wild creature, bringing it back to its perch.
