The horse's saddle blanket.
There was a wealthy man named Burkitbay, who was close and respected by Kazangap. Wealth does not come to a person for free; Burkitbay was said to understand the language of livestock, to be resourceful in farming, and to be a keen observer of the secrets of nature.
One year, as summer was nearing its end, the grass began to freeze early, the birds returned early, and the horses showed signs of distress, indicating that the upcoming winter would be harsh. Observant of the secrets of nature, Burkitbay acted swiftly, selling his small livestock and cattle at the market to convert them into money. He entrusted his horses to reliable young men and sent them to the marshy, reed-filled reserve known as Kulandy in the Aral region.
Burkitbay was not mistaken; winter came dragging its sword. From the beginning of autumn, the long-lasting heavy rains turned into biting frost. The vast steppe was covered with a blue armor of ice. In just a few days, the livestock, unable to graze on the dried grass, became emaciated, leading to a devastating loss.
Desperate, the people, who barely made it to spring, placed all their hopes on the horses in Kulandy. Then, as spring finally appeared, the people leaned on each other as they made their way to the summer pastures, and Burkitbay's large herd of horses was also seen. Not just seen, but a multitude of horses, with one head appearing as two, came to life on the lifeless steppe. Leading the throng of horses was Burkitbay's prized Torijorga stallion, its mane and tail sweeping the ground, shaking its forelock as it headed towards its familiar summer pasture.
Delighted by this sight, Kazangap, filled with gratitude, let a new melody flow from his dombra. At that moment, Burkitbay, who had caught the new tune, could not hide his joy and exclaimed, "Kazangap, this tune of yours is just like the fluttering of that Torijorga stallion!" Kazangap, with a slight smile, replied, "If it is, then it is!"
Kazangap's tune, which he considered a reflection of the people's joy, soon spread among the masses under the name "The Fluttering of the Torijorga Stallion."
