Don't twist around, bride!
It must have been the time when the art of Qazangap the musician began to spread far and wide and become known. Wherever he went, the people honored and welcomed him. Every summer, he would travel around the villages, playing his tunes and telling stories, and the audience, captivated by the music, felt as if they were in a wondrous, magical world. The musician would visit each village every year, bringing new melodies and new tunes. One year, while traveling as usual, he strayed away from the edge of the village and ventured into another region. He thought to himself, "There must be a village ahead; let me see how far I can go." The horse beneath him, Bozjorğa, was also trotting along, stirring up the dust. At one moment, around midday, he spotted two or three white yurts on the slope of a hill ahead. Both he and Bozjorğa were beginning to feel thirsty and tired. He decided to stop for lunch at that village. As he stopped in front of the most beautifully arranged yurt and was tying his horse to the peg, a six or seven-year-old boy ran out of the yurt. After greeting Qazangap and exchanging pleasantries, he started leading him towards the house. Qazangap entered through the open door of the yurt, saying, "Assalamu alaikum!" Inside, there was a young woman in her thirties. She smiled slightly and gestured for him to take a seat at the honored place. After Qazangap settled into the honored seat, he felt his throat dry and looked at the woman, saying, "I am a traveler; do you have something to drink?" The woman smiled a little, opened the lid of a brown jug that was on the left, poured some fermented mare's milk into a wooden cup, and offered it to Qazangap. The musician gulped it down and quickly turned the cup upside down. Perhaps it was because he was thirsty, but the kumys tasted incredibly sweet. The woman took the cup back and poured more, this time looking at the little boy and saying, "Take this kumys to the elder." The boy, who had been curiously watching the stranger, jumped up and brought the kumys. Qazangap thanked the boy and took a sip or two. He looked at the woman and said, "Sister, your kumys is as sweet as honey; it has quenched my thirst like a splash of water. Thank you!" The woman smiled slightly and said, "If you are a traveler, welcome! You must be tired from the road. Please rest. I will prepare some tea," and then she went outside. Qazangap stepped outside, cooled Bozjorğa down, and returned to the house. He leaned against the wall and fell asleep. He woke up to the voice saying, "Elder, it's time for tea." The little boy was standing in front of him, holding a teapot and about to pour water. At that moment, he realized he had rested well and was refreshed. He understood that the woman had intentionally delayed the tea so that the guest could rest. After drinking three or four cups of tea, feeling refreshed and in good spirits, Qazangap inquired about the village and learned which village and region he was in. "Your tea is even tastier than the kumys you served earlier, sister," Qazangap introduced himself. The woman had already known that her guest was the famous musician Qazangap. She had heard that he was performing in the neighboring region. She was delighted to have such a renowned musician, whom the people spoke of in legends, as a guest at her humble table, and she herself was not without talent. Qazangap was a keen observer who understood the customs and traditions of his people very well. He looked around; although the household was not very wealthy, it was neat and well-arranged. Two dombra were hanging on the wall. One was a smaller dombra. He thought that it must belong to the charming little boy running around in the house. He noticed that the table was set with dishes that were usually served to honored guests. Satisfied with such hospitality, Qazangap turned his attention to the woman, who could be described as a true beauty. He remembered that he was still unmarried. "If only I had a partner like this," he thought. Just at that moment, the woman interrupted Qazangap's thoughts with her words. "Musician elder, we heard that you are traveling around the villages. Why don't you come to our area? We also have a passion for good art. If you don't mind, this little one would like to listen to your music; we would also like to hear your art," she said, smiling and looking at him playfully. The musician, feeling pleased and completely satisfied, picked up his dombra and began to play a series of melodies one after another. The beautiful melodies flowed like a spring, overflowing with grace. Qazangap lost track of time as he played, completely absorbed in the music. When he paused for a moment, the woman exclaimed, "Oh dear! The fire has gone out!" and headed outside. As she was leaving, she turned back with a smile and said, "Wow, what a world! Such fingers exist!" The door of the yurt swung wide open. The woman swayed gracefully towards the hearth. "What a beautiful way she walks," thought Qazangap. If you are a musician blessed with talent, I am the beauty of this village, and if you are a musician, it seems to be saying, "This is the one to paint." The woman busied herself with various things at the hearth, moving around in front of the musician. After a while, she returned with a bright red ember. At that moment, the musician, unable to contain the wave of inspiration that had suddenly surged, dedicated a new melody to her, saying, "Sister, let this be my tune called: 'Don't be shy, woman,'" and right then, he played a beautiful, enchanting melody.
