It is said that Iqylas the kobyz player, while traveling, stopped at the base of a solitary tree by a riverbank. He let his horse graze and intended to rest in the shade of the tree. Suddenly, his attention was caught by a sparrow fluttering anxiously around the tree. When Iqylas looked up at the top of the tree, he noticed a nest on one of its branches, from which the heads of chicks were peeking out. They were also chirping desperately. It turned out that a snake was crawling up the tree towards the nest. Feeling pity for the chicks, Iqylas struck the snake with his whip, killing it, and threw it into the water.
