Zhirenshe and Az Zhanibek
Khan Az Zhanibek is said to have remarked:
– This Zhirenshe boy will eventually become a judge and a speaker.
His companions were troubled by the Khan's words. "How can he know that a six-year-old boy will become anything? He seems to praise anything," they said.
One day, while playing completely naked, the boy Zhirenshe showed his head to the Khan, who was wearing a fur hat. Zhirenshe opened his mouth and showed his tongue. Then he ran off to play outside. The Khan asked the judges around him:
– What did I say to Zhirenshe, and what did Zhirenshe say to me? Solve this for me, – but none of them could figure it out. Then the Khan called Zhirenshe and asked:
– What did I just say, and what did you say to me? – to which Zhirenshe replied:
– "You showed your head and asked, 'Where is the other trouble?' I showed my tongue and said, 'The other trouble is from the tongue,'" he said. Then the Khan remarked:
– Indeed, that is what we meant – do not hold any ill will against this Zhirenshe.
